How to Listen to Music Offline on Spotify

Certainly, Spotify has become the largest music streaming service in the world.

The platform has been on the market since 2008, and was created by Daniel Ek and Martin Lorentzon.

Many even claim that the app came to transform the music industry, which has suffered from piracy for years.

On this incredible platform, users can find radio stations and playlists, in addition to creating their own collections and even seeing what is being played the most around the world.

Users can choose between two modes, the free version and the paid version, called Spotify Premium.

This allows people to have a more complete experience with the app, with many features available, including the possibility of listening to music offline.

How It Works

Platform subscribers can enjoy several features that the free plan does not offer, such as listening to music without needing an internet connection.

Users can download albums and playlists with a limit of up to 10,000 tracks per device, on 5 different devices.

Something interesting that the platform itself recommends is going online in the app at least every 30 days to keep the downloads.

This is necessary so that the platform can collect track usage data and thus pay royalties to the artist.

How to download music

It is important to note that the app does not allow you to download songs individually. Therefore, you need to create and download the full playlist.

For example, to download an album, first find the desired content. Then tap the download icon located in the lower left corner of the screen.

When the symbol turns green, the download will be complete. To access the downloaded content, just go to “Your Library”.

If you want, you can also download content through the desktop appAnd the procedure is the same as the one used on mobile phones.

Open the album or playlist you want to save and click the download icon. If you want to remove the downloaded content, just tap the same download icon and it will be removed immediately.

Remember that in any case, it is always advisable to first check whether there is enough free space on your devices for the download to be completed.

Enable offline mode

In this mode, only previously downloaded content will be played in the player. Therefore, to activate this mode on your phone, go to the settings menu through the gear icon and click on “Playback.” Then enable the “Offline” option.

When the option is enabled, podcasts and songs that have not been downloaded in the app will appear grayed out and logically will not be available for playback.

Likewise, if you want to activate this function on your PC, click the three dots in the upper left corner, then “File,” and then “Offline Mode.”

After completing the whole process, you can now listen to your favorite songs in offline mode without needing internet access. Enjoy the best music wherever and whenever you want!
